A 70-year-old woman was mugged and assaulted after leaving her kidney dialysis treatment on West 233rd Street early Saturday morning, police say.
Jean Richards left the Davita Riverdale Dialysis Center around 4:50 a.m. Police say a young woman grabbed Richards's purse, hit her in the face and fled with the bag.
The assailant allegedly also threatened to stab Richards with a knife, police say.
They say the suspect is around 18 years old.
