Police are asking for the public’s help to find the person who they say burglarized a Bronx gas station twice and ran off with cash and merchandise.

It happened at the Mobil gas station on Grand Concourse and East 151st Street in Concourse Village.

The first incident happened just before 5 a.m. on June 14. Police said the thief broke the glass door with a rock, then stole about $1,000 from the register and ran off.

Police said the same person returned on June 22 around 3:30 a.m. Investigators said the burglar broke the glass door again, stole about $400 and merchandise, then ran off.

Victor Hernandez, who works at the gas station, told News 12 they were closed during both incidents.

“This is the first time that it happened to us, so this, of course, is surprising to me,” Hernandez said. “This has never happened.”

Police described the thief as 5’10” and weighing about 160 pounds.
