8h agoThe NYPD says a man attempting to kick, punch and bite officers Monday was transported to Beth Israel Hospital for evaluation.
Police say they responded to a call at the 14th Street and Eighth Avenue station about an unconscious man aboard the L train.
The man appeared disoriented and unable to walk, according to police, and sat on the stairs.
They say they attempted to negotiate with the man to get to an ambulance for approximately 10 minutes until he became combative.
The man has not been charged with a crime.
