A car crash on White Plains Road left two young girls with injuries and two suspects bolting from the scene.
Three vehicles collided just before 1:30 p.m., according to law enforcement officials. They say that the NYPD was investigating another incident involving the two drivers of a white car when that car crashed into a grey car, launching the vehicle into a third one.
The two children who were injured are 2 ½ years old and 7 years old. Both were in the gray car involved in the accident. They suffered minor injuries and are expected to be OK.
Witnesses tell News 12 that immediately after the crash, the drivers of the white car hopped out and ran. Surveillance video obtained by News 12 shows those two drivers sprinting away from police down White Plains Road.
Police say that they have those two people fleeing, a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, in custody.
