The NYPD unveiled its brand-new 40th Precinct on Wednesday.
The $85 million project, years in the making, features a dedicated community space, public art, a green roof for sustainability and full ADA compliance.
Officers hope the inviting design will encourage stronger relationships with residents.
"This modern precinct designed with the people we serve in mind," said NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey.
The precinct is now open 24/7 and welcoming the community to engage with those who serve and protect them.
