NYPD: Person of interest in custody after shots fired at officers on Crotona Park East

The NYPD sent choppers in the air and officers filled East 174th Street and Vyse Avenue to search for the suspect who fired those shots at officers just after 7:30 p.m.

Police say a person of interest is in custody after shots were fired at officers Friday night in Crotona Park East.
The NYPD sent choppers in the air and officers filled East 174th Street and Vyse Avenue to search for the suspect who fired those shots at officers just after 7:30 p.m.
Officers say no one was injured by the gunfire.
The NYPD says no gun was recovered on the scene.
There is no word yet on the identity of the suspect or the motive.
