The NYPD 41st Precinct and the 41st Precinct Community Council hosted a safe way for kids to enjoy Halloween with their annual trunk-or-treat event.
"Today is the day we get back to the community, showing them that even though COVID happened, we're still here, and we're always gonna be working with the community to make it a better place," says Herawattie Jeeuth, a detective with the 41st Precinct. "And today's a day for the kids to have a show of their costume and to have a great time and showing that the community and the police are working together to make this community a better place for everyone."
Kids were not required to wear costumes, but masks were a must for the Halloween event.
