Police say the second suspect wanted in the killing of 11-year-old Kyhara Tay is also wanted in two other crimes.
They say 18-year-old Omar Bojang committed two gunpoint robberies in Morrisania back in April.
Police say Bojang and two to three other men set up in-person meetings online. Once they met, one of the suspects showed a gun and forced the victim to remove their property.
Police caught the first suspect, 15-year-old Matthew Godwin, early Friday morning. He is accused of pulling the trigger in Tay’s death in the Bronx and is facing multiple charges including manslaughter. He was found in a hotel room with his mother.
Police say Bojang drove the moped when he and Godwin were chasing their target – a 13-year-old boy.
Police are urging anyone with information to reach out to them by calling 1-800-577-TIPS. Tips can be made confidentially.
A memorial at the site of the shooting continues to grow at Fox Street and Westchester Avenue.
