Bronx hit-and-run victim found dead days later

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted for assaulting a 54-year-old woman this week in the Bronx.

Authorities say the suspect approached the victim near Jerome Avenue and East 167th Street at around 3:00 p.m. on April 24. He pushed her from behind, causing the woman to fall on her face.

The man then fled the scene, according to police. The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.

Anyone with information is urged to call police.
