The NYPD is investigating a robbery incident involving multiple suspects that took place last Thursday in the Bronx.
Police report a 64-year-old man was approached by the suspects as he was entering his apartment at around 3:45 p.m. The suspects allegedly struck the man with a metal bar and firearm multiple times.
Officers say the suspects then zip-tied and duct-taped the man and a 60-year-old woman. They removed a safe, money, a purse, and a backpack from the victim's apartment at gunpoint.
Several of the individuals fled the location in a red Dodge sedan, and one fled on foot toward East 180th Street and Valentine Avenue.
The male victim sustained lacerations to the head and face and was sent to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment.
