A shootout between multiple men on East 154th Street left a 45-year-old woman dead in the crossfire Wednesday.
Police say a bullet struck Maribel Cavero-Reyes in the chest outside 421 East 154th St., near Melrose Avenue.
The victim was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.
A few blocks away, near Courtlandt Avenue, police were looking at shell casings that may be related to the slaying.
Investigators say two people were chasing another man when the shootout began.
