Officials say a man from the Bronx is connected to a drug ring that has been busted on Long Island.
Authorities say that Robert Maldonado ran the operation from the Bronx and distributed heroin to dealers Uriel and Winston Rose, who would sell the drugs on Long Island.
According to prosecutors, Maldonado delivered more than 20,000 bags of heroin from his Mount Eden apartment to Long Island between April and May of this year.
Prosecutors say that the operation on Long Island pulled in over $1 million.
Fourteen people were charged Wednesday in connection with the operation.
