The Old Bronx County Courthouse could become the nation's first hip-hop museum.
"When people walk in, the first thing they are going to be greeted with [is] an amazing lobby area, which will open up to a theater," says Rocky Bucano, the chairman behind the Hip-Hop Museum.
The 38,000-square-foot courthouse has been out of the public's view because of poor conditions.
Now, plans for a Universal Hip-Hop Museum are set to include restaurants, a retail gallery section and interactive areas.
Bucano and other supporters hope the city will speed up the process that could transform the courthouse into a historical museum.
