Health center One Brooklyn Health received a big grant to make sure the central Brooklyn community is getting the best care and seeing the best outcomes.
OBH's Department of Medicine was awarded a $25,000 president's grant by the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation. The money will go toward the OBH's EQITI Project, which stands for Education, Quality and Interprofessional Team Integration.
The project allows residents to be a part of primary care teams. They will work with all of a patient's doctors to make sure that the Brooklyn community is treated and building trust as well.
Training includes faculty education on the EQITI model, ambulatory boot camp, reviewing scientific literature and the impact of the program.
