One Brooklyn Health medical center in Bed-Stuy is reflecting on the two-year anniversary of COVID-19. 

“We didn't know exactly what it was, but we knew something bad was coming,” said Dr. Sandra Scott.

Doctors in the hospital say they have been working nonstop for the past two years. They say it’s taken time away from their families. 

Dr. Prisana Alston says she slept overnight for the first few months of the pandemic because her team needed her. 

“There was no home life because it was a challenge. I was not able to go home and have peace of mind,” said Alston. 

Doctors and nurses say they can finally feel a new normal on the horizon since last week was the first steady-paced time since March of 2020. 

They say April 6, 2020 was the day Interfaith Medical Center hit the “high water mark” for COVID-19 hospitalizations, with 518 positive COVID-19 inpatients. 

As of March 11, 2022, Interfaith Medical Center has only 16 positive patients. 

One Brooklyn Health has administered 533 monoclonal antibody treatments and has provided 136,551 doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
