A Bronx health center is reflecting on life at the height of the pandemic through a new photo exhibition.
The Metro Community Health Center hosted a ceremony on Wednesday for the new exhibit, "Anti-COVID: Images During the Pandemic," which features 16 photographs created by people with disabilities.
Organizers say the artists behind the photos, who are also patients at the center, could not be more thrilled to have their work displayed.
"We needed the opportunity to showcase not only their work, but their personalities and their abilities, and to show them as more than the diagnosis that they have and truly as the vibrant individuals that they are," says Rita Bilello, the CEO of Metro Community Health Centers.
The exhibit will be on display through May 25th.
