Police released a photo of a person who they say is responsible for an
attack using a box cutter aboard a Bx12 MTA bus in Fordham.
A 17-year-old boy was slashed in the hand and neck just before 8 p.m. on March 18 while the bus was at the East Fordham Road and Valentine Avenue stop. Authorities initially said a 17-year-old girl was also slashed in the hand during the attack.
Citizen app footage from the scene showed one of the teens being treated by EMS and speaking with officers inside the bus shelter.
Police say
the teens knew each other but did not know their male attacker. EMS took the pair to St. Barnabas Hospital, and they are expected to recover.
The person exited the bus and ran away following the attack. Authorities released an image of him taken Tuesday where he is seen in a gray hoodie, jeans and Adidas sneakers.
