Police: 2 adults stabbed, baby injured in East Meadow domestic disturbance

Police responded to a domestic disturbance in East Meadow Wednesday that ended with two people stabbed and an 18-month-old hurt.
According to police, they were called to a home on Cooper Drive in East Meadow around 6:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman, both with stab wounds, and the little girl with wounds on her arm and head.
The husband, 37, and the wife, 38, are both in critical condition. The toddler is in stable condition with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Sources tell News 12 the husband allegedly stabbed his wife multiple times while she was holding their daughter and then stabbed himself in the neck.
Donna Sano, who lives next door, says there were never signs of trouble.
"They're very nice and everything. I was really stunned when this happened," says Sano. "I have no idea what could have caused it."
Police have not released any further details about what led up to the incident.
