The search continues for two gunmen who opened fire near a Claremont school overnight.
Police say a 28-year-old and a 30-year-old were both shot on East 174th Street between Morris and Eastburn avenues at 12:20 a.m. They were taken to hospitals where they are expected to recover.
Surveillance video obtained by News 12 showed two men walk down East 174th street just after midnight. It showed one of the men brandish a gun from his pocket and he appears to cock it. Seconds later, the same man appears from behind a car then skips down East 174th Street toward Morris Avenue with the gun before running in the opposite direction.
Police cruisers were still parked on either side of East 174th Street outside of P.S. 70 when parents picked their children up from school on Monday afternoon.
"I am worried because the same way it happened at night it could also happen during the day, I have a child and he goes to this school and it's dangerous because a stray bullet can hit any of them," said Ana whose 4-year-old son attends P.S. 70.
