A 3-year-old boy is recovering after police say his mother's boyfriend punched him in the face over the weekend in Morris Heights.
Police the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday inside an apartment on University Avenue.
News 12 is told the boy was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
