Police say a home burglar made off with pet birds and hundreds of dollars in cash.
The break-in occurred on Edison Avenue around midday on Friday, June 23.
Police say the suspect broke into a basement apartment and made off with two cockatiel birds in a cage, cologne and $600. The man was seen in surveillance video wearing a blue helmet and driving away in a Dodge Neon with Florida plates.
The landlord of the burglarized home says her tenant is an 81-year-old man who lives alone. He wasn't present at the time of the break-in. New locks have been added to the apartment.
Police ask anyone with information on the burglary to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
