A 12-year-old boy died suddenly Friday after his father says
he was bullied and badly beaten by his classmates.
Police are investigating the child's death, and call it
"suspicious."
Romy Vilsaint Sr. tells News 12 he will live with the pain
of his son's death forever.
"These guys will make me cry every day, every
night," Vilsaint Sr. says.
The victim's uncle tells News 12 that Romy Vilsaint Jr. came
home saying he was beat up several times and spent most of Thursday in the
nurse's office
Vilsaint's family quickly acted when the boy said he
couldn't see clearly and felt sick.
They called an Uber, and then an ambulance when the car
service was taking too long.
Paramedics rushed to the scene, but Vilsaint went into distress
and died within minutes.
His family tells News 12 they believe he went into cardiac
arrest, and never had medical problems before the incident. They plan to travel
to Haiti to bury Vilsaint where his mother and other family members reside.
