A FedEx driver was shot in Brooklyn Monday, according to police.
Police say the incident happened around 11:15 a.m. at 395 Livonia Ave.
Police say the 44-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the back and is in stable condition. They say the man was taken to Brookdale Hospital.
No arrests have been made at this time, according to police.
FedEx issued a statement to News 12 saying, "We are aware of an attack on one of our couriers today in Brooklyn, and our immediate concern is for the well-being of our colleague. The safety and security of our team members is our highest priority. We are gathering more information and are fully cooperating with investigating authorities.”
Police say the driver was making a delivery and was shot on his way out of the building. They say the suspect was wearing a bubble jacket, white sneakers and track pants.
Sources tell News 12 surveillance video shows the suspect approaching the driver before the shooting and that it was likely targeted because of his occupation.
