Police identified a man who they say is responsible for a fatal shooting inside the 170th Street subway station.

The NYPD is searching for Alberto Frias, 27, accused of killing Adrian Dawodu, 41, of Manhattan. The Tuesday afternoon subway platform shooting was captured on video taken by a passenger aboard a passing train.

Authorities say shots rang out just before 3 p.m., striking Dawodu throughout his body. EMS took him to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.

His death marked the first homicide in transit this year, but it was not the first shooting at the 170th Street station; shots rang out a little over a month earlier on the station’s platform, but nobody was struck, according to authorities.

Police ask anyone with information about Frias to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
