Police: Man assaults 12-year-old in Brooklyn; child suffers fractures, bruising

Police are looking for a man who assaulted a 12-year-old boy at the corner of East 13th Street and Avenue T.

Police are looking for a man who assaulted a 12-year-old boy at the corner of East 13th Street and Avenue T. 
Police say it happened around 3:10 p.m. on Oct. 14.
They say the 12-year-old boy was sitting on the curb waiting for a friend when a man in his 20s or 30s approached him from behind and punched him in the face. 
Police say the 12-year-old lost consciousness and suffered fractures to his facial bones, bleeding and bruising.
Police say the man fled on foot southbound on East 13th Street. 
The 12-year-old boy was transported to Coney Island Hospital in stable condition for treatment, according to police.
