Someone beat a Belmont man unconscious and fractured his skull outside his apartment building Tuesday evening, police say.
They brought him from 780 Garden St. to St. Barnabas Hospital around 6:30 p.m.
Police identified the victim as 35-year-old Phillip Roseburgh.
Neighbors describe Roseburgh as a family man with three children.
No arrests have been made.
