Police say a man was injured in a shooting early Friday morning in Morrisania.

They say a 34-year-old man was shot in an apparent attempted robbery outside of an auto shop at 3310 Third Ave. just before 5 a.m.

Police say that two men hopped out of a black SUV, went up to the victim and shot him in the leg.

The man was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where police say he is in stable condition.

Officials say they are searching for three people - the two men and the person driving the SUV.
