Police: Man shot after attempted robbery at Bronx deli

Two men entered the deli with a firearm and demanded that everyone inside leave.

A man was shot after a physical altercation with two robbers at a Bronx deli last week.

Police say the incident happened on April 16 before 8 p.m. at 809 E. 156 St. Two men entered the deli with a firearm and demanded that everyone inside leave. They also shot a 41-year-old man in the right foot before running out of the deli without taking anything.

The 41-year-old was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.
