Police have released new video showing a brutal slashing attack on a 61-year-old man in Bedford Park.
Police say the slashing was sparked by a verbal dispute that turned physical Monday night, and the whole incident was caught on camera.
In the video, the victim ran inside a store on East 204th Street and Valentine Avenue as two men started to hit him repeatedly with an object and pull on his clothing, ripping off some of his shirt. The two men then walked away, and the victim went inside the store.
The two men got away in a black Honda Civic.
One of the men has long black dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, red pants and gray sneakers. The other man was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a white T-shirt, gray pants and black sneakers.
Police say the victim was treated for slashes to the back of the head and torso.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call police.
