A family-run restaurant in Morrisania is seeking help from the police to identify the individual who stole one of their delivery scooters.
The restaurant, Hermanos Salazar, is located on Courtlandt Avenue and keeps several mopeds and scooters parked outside for deliveries.
The owners of the restaurants tell News 12 that one of their newest editions, a 2016 red electric scooter, was stolen after returning from a delivery on Sunday just after 1 a.m.
Police say they now have a photo of the individual they are looking for, as well as surveillance footage from a neighboring business that shows an individual snatching the scooter.
Another employee at Hermanos Salazar says he recently saw an individual, similar to the suspect in the photograph, who was riding a scooter that looks exactly like the one stolen on Sunday. He tells News 12 that the individual riding the scooter appeared to be somewhere between 18 and 20 years old and entered a building on Park Avenue just blocks away from the restaurant.
