The mother of a child who was thrown to the ground outside of a Bronx Bodega Tuesday morning is asking the woman responsible to turn herself in.
The incident, which was caught on camera, happened just outside a bodega on East 198th Street.
"I can't explain what happened. It's more like everything happened too fast like we came out the store and I just turned my head for one second," says the child's mother, Sahara Bernard.
Following the incident, Sahara Bernard says she called the police and her daughter was taken to the hospital.
She says her daughter is now OK.
"Anger, frustration that I can't do nothing. I felt like at the time that I couldn't protect my daughter. all I can really say about this whole thing, in general, is the fact that I just hope they find her because if not I know other people that probably would,” says Bernard.
Police are now asking for the public’s help in finding the woman caught on a surveillance camera.
