yesterdayA Spring Valley man was fatally shot in the Bronx while trying to purchase a motorcycle, police say.
Police say the incident happened Wednesday night under the Deegan Expressway at East 144th and Exterior streets. Police say Jefferson Jimenez Hernandez was one of three men who went to purchase two motorcycles in a transaction that was arranged on Facebook.
According to police, Hernandez had gunshot wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say a firearm was recovered, but no arrests have been made.
