Police: Suspect wanted for assaulting 2 people on University Avenue

Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to SBH Health System in stable condition.

Police are looking for a man who assaulted two people on Friday night on University Avenue in the Bronx. 
Authorities say that around 8:10 p.m., in front of 2265 University Ave, the suspect approached a 49-year-old man from behind him and knocked him to the ground. The suspect proceeded to strike the man with an unknown object and attempted to press his thumbs into the victim’s eyes before fleeing.   
Some time later, the same individual approached a 52-year-old woman in front of 2324 University Ave. and slashed her in the forehead with an unknown object before fleeing on foot towards Fordham Road.
Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to SBH Health System in stable condition. 
Police say the suspect has light complexion, dark hair and mustache and a thin build. He was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants and black and gray socks.
