Police: Toddler found unconscious wasn’t sexually assaulted
Police say that the 3-year-old girl found unconscious in her Mott Haven home was not sexually assaulted, as had been reported by some other media outlets.
Samantha Martinez's mother found her unconscious in their apartment on East 137th Street on Monday.
She was rushed to Lincoln Hospital before being transferred to New York Presbyterian Children's Hospital in Manhattan.
News 12 reported Tuesday that the toddler's parents say doctors told them it looked like the girl had ingested painkillers. News 12 sources also confirmed that the drug appeared in the girl's urine.
