People were at the Parkchester Public Library Tuesday to sign up for an IDNYC card. 

Since 2015, the city has been pushing the benefits of the card, which provides a form of identification and comes with perks as well. 

It can be used as a library card and can be used to get free memberships to more than 30 cultural institutions. It also qualifies cardholders for discounts at health and wellness centers. 

The card has been pushed by Mayor Bill de Blasio as especially useful for undocumented immigrants worried about their status. Recently, the city won a lawsuit allowing them to destroy records on those who have the card.

A pop-up enrollment center will be at Assemblyman Luis Sepulveda's office at 1973 Westchester Ave. until Aug. 25.
