One Prospect Heights veterinarian is taking extra precautions to stop the spread of the coronavirus by starting curbside service.
Charles Russell from All Creatures Veterinary Hospital started this service last week. He says he and his team take patient info by phone before owners arrive and drop off their animals. Owners can speak with the veterinarian on the phone about their findings.
The vets pre-screen appointments to see if it is necessary for the animals to come into the building. It is only providing essential care, emergencies, spay and neutering as well as treatment for infectious diseases.
The staff members are checked regularly to make sure that they are staying healthy and they are keeping a safe distance from each other.
The animal says it will continue this procedure until it is safe to return to their previous routine.
