Ready to Rent program to help those seeking affordable housing
The We Stay/Nos Quedamos community center in Melrose is one of five locations in the city where people can meet for free financial consultations regarding the affordable housing application process.
The free one-on-one sessions are part of the expanded Ready to Rent program.
The consultations are meant to help residents figure out key components of the application process, including income, credit and rent budget.
Ready to Rent is a joint venture between the city Department for Housing Preservation and Development and the Department of Consumer Affairs.
Appointments can be made online or by calling 311.
