"The ball is in your court!" That was the message today from Regeneron's co-founder to the local finalists of this year's Science Talent Search!

Dr. George Yancopoulos operates the world's oldest science and math competition for high schoolers. This year, more than 10% of the 300 top scholars are from the Hudson Valley.

The Regeneron Science Talent Search scholars were selected from 1,949 applications from 627 high schools around the world.

Each scholar receives a $2,000 award, while the big winner of the competition will receive an additional $25,000 scholarship.

The winner will be announced next month in Washington, DC.
