Some Bronx residents took advantage of the hottest day of the year so far by heading to Van Cortlandt Park.

Plenty of people were spotted soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the cool breeze as the day went on.

A local high school baseball team was seen playing an afternoon game at the park, in addition to some folks who decided to get a workout in the heat.

Temperatures Friday are expected to be in the 80s before cooling down to the 60s this weekend.
