Most of the clouds and rain have disappeared after a stormy Sunday, but residents need to brace themselves for the winds in the area.
Residents are being warned to use caution when walking or driving because strong winds can cause flying debris and cause power outages.
In Throgs Neck, a large tree fell down overnight in Silver Beach Gardens park due to the rain and wind.
On Pennyfield Avenue, another tree came toppling down on top of two cars.
