Attention drivers: you may want to think twice about getting in the bus lane, now that the MTA will mail out a fine if you're caught.
It comes following a 60-day warning period.
Four Bronx bus routes, including the BX 41 in Morrisania, are part of the MTA's new Automated Camera Enforcement program, also known as ACE.
If you are caught in a bus lane by a city bus camera, your face fines ranging from $50 to $250.
City officials say their goal with this program is to keep rider safe and keep buses moving.
The MTA says this program changes driver's behaviors, including bus speeds increasing by over 5%, collisions reduced by 20% and emissions reduction in those zones.
