A man is wanted in the theft of $250,000 worth of jewelry in Brooklyn across two incidents dating back to last month, according to the NYPD.

Authorities say a man and woman entered Melissa Joy Manning Jewelry at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, the second of the two incidents. The man grabbed the store employee by the neck and threatened to kill them, according to police. The suspects forced the employee to open the jewelry display case.

They removed jewelry totaling $50,000 and fled down Court Street.

Police say the first incident took place at the same location on Feb. 2. No injuries were reported, but a male suspect entered the store and threatened an employee with a knife. He fled with approximately $160,000 worth of jewelry. Video shows the thief came in twice that day. The first time was to inquire about prices of jewelry and the second time was to rob the store.

The NYPD is taking into consideration that the man in both incidents is the same person.

Manning says she plans on changing her store hours and adding a security guard to help avoid any future robberies.
