The Ryder Cup wrapped up Sunday at Bethpage Black, but fans at Sal's Place in North Massapequa rallied to the very end.
The neighborhood bar hosted a weekend-long celebration with food and drink specials, big-screen TVs and plenty of cheering for Team USA.
Co-owner Joseph Oberjosh said the event brought new face into the community and helped capture the spirit of the tournament.
"I'm born and raised and Bethpage, so this is exciting. Great for Bethpage, for local businesses and all of New York for sure. It's amazing," Oberjosh said.
Despite Team USA's tough battle, fans said the Ryder Cup created a sense of community and made Sal's Place one of the go-to spots to soak in the action.
