Scholar Athlete: Nick Cafagno

I'm Pat o'keefe with our news, 12 Brooklyn scholar athlete this week we focus on Fort Hamilton senior, Nick CAFO a starting pitcher on the Tigers baseball team who carries a 3.0 grade point average. Next year, Nick will attend full Sail University to major in sports broadcasting. When he watches Yankee games, he mutes the volume and practices doing the play by play and if he's not in a Fort Hamilton game, then he starts commentating from the bench. Nick realized during quarantine that he wanted to pursue sports broadcasting as a career. I love baseball. Baseball is what I've loved forever. I love pitching. I love analyzing games and I love just being around it and I think commentating games and, you know, being able to talk to players and interviews and all that. I think that's, that's where, that's where it's at. Nick also serves as first base coach during some games and says that coaching is also something he might want to pursue.
