Schuylerville residents brave snowy morning rush
Schuylerville residents took to the roads during the nor'easter Thursday despite accumulating snow and deteriorating road conditions.
The roadways were well coated with snow, which made for a messy morning commute.
However, residents say they prefer taking their own vehicles to work rather than relying on mass transportation during the snowstorm.
Local officials advised residents to stay off of the roads so that workers could treat them with salt and sand.
All New York City public schools are closed today, according to officials.
Those traveling outside are being advised to wear multiple layers as temperatures are expected to tumble.
The storm is expected to bring between 5-8 inches of snow and high winds to the Bronx before tapering off around 5 p.m.
