The Sloatsburg Food Pantry in Suffern is building a new home.
They are investing $200,000 to overhaul the ground floor of the All Souls Community Church.
They are hoping to create a modern retail space to serve those in need in Suffern, Tuxedo and Sloatsburg.
The pantry is currently distributing food to local families on Wednesdays outside the church.
They are hoping to have the renovation complete by winter so that they can move indoors for the colder months.
They introduced their project and plans to the community Friday with the hope of raising support.
"We are all about helping those who have needs simply because they have need. So, like I said before, a huge answer to our prayers and something we're just loving watching generations participate in," said All Souls Community Church Lead Pastor Will Reinmuth.
