Some cemeteries have temporarily reopened in honor of Mother's Day.
The Archdiocese of New York decided to open their five cemeteries for loved ones to visit their mothers who have passed away. Other parish cemeteries like St. Raymond's also opened.
The Archdiocese is asking people to limit their visits to just 15 minutes and have no more than 10 people.
Visitors must wear masks and practice social distancing.
Chapels and bathrooms will remain closed.
Visitors are allowed to bring fresh flowers, plants or artificial flowers to leave at the grave sites.
The Archdiocese is hopeful that cemeteries can also reopen for Memorial Day and Father's Day if today goes well.
