With the start of school looming, there are still many questions about what this year will look like.
With blended learning now set to begin Sept. 21, the question many are asking is how students who are returning to the classroom get to and from school.
Geneal Chacon, a member of the city’s Panel for Educational Policy for the last four years, says reopening was the main focus of more than 200 public comments at the group’s August meeting.
Chacon anticipates transportation to be the biggest topic at the panel’s September meeting. She says she’s optimistic the 15-member group will have a bussing contract to vote on by then.
