The stagnant weather situation will allow nuisance rain showers to pass through the region tonight. The rain will not aggravate flooding issues like we had last night and early Wednesday morning. Dreary is the best way to describe the next 48 hours.
Passing showers are on tap for Thursday. Cloud, wind and wet weather keep the temperatures once again from reaching 80 degrees.
Tropical moisture steers up the East Coast for Friday. At the moment, the bulk of the serious rain stays in Pennsylvania, but rain and thunderstorms are expected to proceed through the state.
Drenching downpours and possibly some severe storms could occur Friday afternoon and evening into the nighttime hours.
My forecasting fingers are crossed that the storms scoot through quickly so that Saturday is salvageable with sunshine and seasonable temperatures back to the mid-80s
OVERNIGHT: Cloudy with the occasional rain shower. Lows around 66.
THURSDAY: Rainy weather throughout most of the day with temperatures in the 70s.
FRIDAY: More rain, with the possibility of some thunderstorms. Highs in the 80s. Remnants from Debby arrive overnight and into Saturday morning.
SATURDAY: Rain in the morning, followed by clearer skies by the afternoon. Highs in the low- to mid-80s. Temps dip to the upper-60s overnight.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny with some passing clouds. Highs around 84 with lows around 66.
