The Williamsburg community honored a fallen NYPD detective on Tuesday.

The street where Detective Wilbert Mora grew up on was co-named in his honor.

Detectives Mora and Jason Rivera were shot while responding to a 911 call about a domestic dispute between a Harlem mother and her adult son last year.

"It is a great pride that our son is being immortalized on this street and in this neighborhood where we have so many fun memories of our hero. Future generations of children will see the name detective Wilbert Mora and they will learn about his sacrifice and about what he did for this city,” said Mora’s mother, Amalia Mora.

Tuesday would have marked Mora’s 29th birthday.
